By interesting artistic contrast to vivid expressiveness, the backgrounds are nearly blank. ![]() Norman's thickly-lined, cartoon drawings really enhance his story. The content is silly, with worthwhile sweetness and camaraderie. Was I swept away by the baby's book because something registered about the style? I know this is mine, with a different, familiar cover because I adore animals. I loved finding this older child's book by Norman: “ The Cat And The Bird In The Hat”, 1968. I kept books, dolls, teddy bears, papers I knew of since I was at least ten. Cleaning is facilitated decades earlier, if family knows you archived belongings we could claim decades earlier! It is better than sifting history in a time limit. This spring, my Mom produced books that were tucked away. Neighbours companionably sought autographs for books they gifted. He had just died at eighty-six years-old. I loved reading about how Clifford the red dog came to be, jointly via his wife and daughter. ![]() Norman's took a fresh tack, as simple as it was, with an emotionality I savoured instantly. Board books about animal words and sounds aren't universal. How sweet to discover I encountered this loveable author when I was small! I whisked a Norman Bridwell baby's book from a store's discard stairs two years ago. ![]()
